Bio Marieke van der Velden
MARIEKE VAN DER VELDEN (1974) is specialized in portraits and reportages. She works for magazines like Elle, Residence, HP/De Tijd, KLM Flying Dutchman and Mercedes Magazine. For Unicef she made several campaigns in countries such as Afghanistan, Colombia and Zambia. She did commercial assignments for the Ministery of Foreign Affairs and Schiphol. In 2007 she was one of the 12 participants of the Joop Swart Masterclass from World Press Photo. She won the Hollands Diep Photography Prize 2008 and her work was nominated for the ADCN, PANL and New York Photo Festival.
